Acts 2:42
"Moving towards Maturity"


Introduction: Acts 2:37-38, "... they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, 'Brethren, what shall we do?' And Peter said to them, 'Repent, and let each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.'"
     Acts 2:41, "those who had received his word were baptized; and there were added that day about three thousand souls."
     Acts 2:42, "And they were continually devoting themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer." 

I. Walking in the Word

II. Faithful in Fellowship
     Acts 2:44-45, "And all those who had believed were together, and had all things in common; and they began selling their property and possessions, and they were sharing them with all, as anyone might have need."

III. Constant in Communion

Luke 22:19-20; Acts 20:7


IV. Persistent in Prayer

1 Thessalonians 5:17; Hebrews 4:15-16; Acts 6:1-7; 1 John 1:9; Ephesians 2:13; Genesis 4:26
